Chilean-style panqueques are thin, soft, and the perfect excuse to eat way too much Manjar.
And guess what? You can now get a jar of our homemade Manjar on my website—so no more excuses!

💛 Chilean-Style Panqueques Recipe:
🥄 1 cup of plain flour
🥄 1 cup of milk
🥄 1 egg
🥄 ½ tsp of salt

Mix everything well, pour a little onto a well-heated pan, wait a couple of minutes, flip, wait a little more, and boom!!! It’s ready to be filled with an unreasonable amount of Manjar 😬

Warning: You may end up eating them straight from the pan.

Last Sunday was the perfect day to take pictures—winter may be here, but a little sunshine makes all the difference!

So here I am, in my living room, chasing the best light for my Valentine’s Day cake. Not exactly a professional studio, but hey, we make it work! 😆

When I started my home-based bakery, I knew I’d have to learn a lot of things… but photography? That was a surprise! So I got myself this little (but mighty!) camera, and after many, MANY cake photos, I think I’ve improved. My Instagram and website now feature some of my best shots! 😬

In Chile, they are prepared during winter, and now, with these cold days in the UK, I couldn’t resist preparing them. I remember when I was a child, my Aunt Marina used to make them every winter, filling the house with their warm, comforting aroma.

What an incredible year this has been! 🎉

2024 marked the official start of my bakery journey, leaving behind my career as a scientist to chase my dream of bringing a piece of Chile to the UK 🇨🇱❤️

This journey has been amazing, not just because I’m doing what I love, but because of all of you. I’m so grateful for the warmth and support I’ve received from everyone who has tried my treats. I never imagined feeling so welcome, and to be honest, leaving my university job at the beginning was a little scary.

Every time I bake, I think of my family back in Chile. I know they’re proud and happy to see me working so hard to make my dreams come true, and their love inspires me every day.

2025 is just around the corner, and I know it’s going to be filled with exciting new projects! I can’t wait to share more with you soon. For now, this video is a big thank you to all of you who have supported and encouraged me, and a reminder to myself of how much I’ve accomplished. And how much more is ahead!

What an incredible year this has been! 🎉

2024 marked the official start of my bakery journey, leaving behind my career as a scientist to chase my dream of bringing a piece of Chile to the UK 🇨🇱❤️

This journey has been amazing, not just because I’m doing what I love, but because of all of you. I’m so grateful for the warmth and support I’ve received from everyone who has tried my treats. I never imagined feeling so welcome, and to be honest, leaving my university job at the beginning was a little scary.

The bakery has been working non-stop these past two weeks, and this cake marks the last one before Christmas!!!

This lucuma manjar nuez cake was the perfect way to wrap up an incredible season!!!

A true Chilean classic, this cake features a moist walnut sponge filled with manjar (caramel) and a lucuma cream. For those who don’t know, lucuma is a fruit beloved in South America, known for its unique sweet and nutty flavour. In Chile, we use lucuma to prepare cakes, desserts, and ice cream.

This cake was made with so much care, and I hope it brought a smile to the birthday mum’s face!. Also, it was extra special because it’s been years since I’ve written a message on top of a cake. For me, that’s such a classic touch that takes me back to my childhood, when cakes were always homemade, fruity, and filled with love.

This season has been so amazing. Seeing your love for Chilean treats makes all the hard work worth it.
